I'm hopping a plane to Le Marche this Wednesday October 7 for two weeks of looking at real estate....too bad the wedding isn't in Italy! All the best Antonio!!

Tanti auguri, Antonio! I was wondering if it is common in Italy for weddings to take place during the week. There is a popular bar/beach club along the lungomare in my Sicilian town and I notice that this time of year during my sunset walks that there always seems to be a wedding couple taking golden hour photos with the wedding party and some guests having coffee or a spritz. It’s typically Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays when I take my walks.

In the US weddings are almost always in a Saturday and sometimes a Friday or Sunday but usually only if it is a long weekend.

Congratulations Antonio and Alicia! I have been to several Italian weddings but I definitely did not know about all of these, thanks for sharing and hope you incorporate them all 😂

I can still smell the vanilla and the sweet almond oil just from that picture. Those were a real treat. I recall wrapping them (and unwrapping them!).

Nice list, as you said before, things change from North to South and serenata and tarantella are only for the very South, nobody did it even 50 years ago in the North. I remember the tie cut when I was very young but I think now it's outmoded, I asked my kids and their friends about it if it is still done but they have never heard about it.
